A Quick Trip to the Computer Lab

7th Age readers are beginning the year reviewing short vowel sounds.

This week, we visited the computer lab. While there, we quickly visited the blog to see our class picture.

Then, we watched a film that reviewed short vowel sounds.

We headed back to our classroom to begin working with words that have the short a vowel sound.

We also read the short story "Cabs, Cabs, Cabs". There were many short a words for us to read aloud.

We touched each word as we read it wearing special witch fingers!

Pilot Math Begins!

The Pilot mathematicians!

Today, we had our very first class together. We can't wait to get started with our curriculum. In chapter one we will explore attributes. The concepts covered will include color, shape, size, and matching quantities.

9th Age P.E.

We had a great day as we celebrated Calvert spirit!

P.E. uniforms were handed out, so please look for them coming home today. Please have your child try on her uniform. If it fits properly write your last name in permanent marker in the space provided on the shorts and shirt.

After we discussed uniforms, the girls had the opportunity to play a few fun games, dance, and show their Calvert pride with a cheer!

Beginning a New Year!

Students, faculty, and staff joined together this morning to kick-off the year with an all-school assembly. The Calvert community was welcomed by greetings from Dr. Trusty, Ms. Herrity, and Dr. Martire
