Sixth Age readers did a wonderful job today on a difficult crossword puzzle.

From Egg to Frog

Sixth Age friends read the story "Where Do Frogs Come From?" by Alex Vern. This selection of nonfiction was extremely informative. After reading the story we had an opportunity to act out the growth stages of a frog.

"Book Heaven"

Sixth Age readers were thrilled to come into class today and see the reading selections ready to be brought home over spring break! Friends exclaimed that it was just like "book heaven" or "book Christmas"!

March Reading Madness

Seventh Age readers celebrated March Reading Madness by bringing in their favorite book to share with our Ninth Age reading buddies. Fun was had by all as we munched on delicious treats and shared about our favorite reading selections.

Contractions

Seventh Age readers did a phenomenal job working with contractions. I laid out contraction cards and the students were charged with the task of matching the correct pairs. Once they found a pair, they were able to write it on the sheet provided (seen above). After we had completed our written work we were all given a contraction card. We read the card than placed it on our foreheads. Then we needed to walk around the classroom searching for our match. We had great success, as you can see below.
