One fun way to review both new and old sight words is to play Tic-Tac-Toe! I created a tic-tac-toe board by drawing a grid of nine squares and writing one high-frequency word in each square. Next, we made teams! Ms. Clark against the 7th Age readers. We took turns reading a word before writing an X or an O on it. After two games it was clear that I need to work on my strategy. Final score: Ms. Clark 0 - 7th Age readers 2

I am so excited to begin the school year! I am looking forward to meeting all of my new 6B friends. In my previous years here at Calvert I have taught Pilot, as well as Small Groups. During my time as a Small Groups teacher I worked with Pilot, Sixth, and Seventh Age students in reading, math, and technology.
