Long "a" Vowel Pairs

Seventh Age friends have done a phenomenal job working with vowel pairs!

Magic "e"

Sixth Age friends are hard at work reviewing long vowels. We are focusing on words that have the magic e at the end. The magic e forces the vowel to say its name!
{cape, made, cube, time, pine, home, here}

Basic Fractions

Pilot mathematicians have enjoyed learning basic fractions. One of our favorite activities was our fractions picnic!

Calvert Lacrosse

Congratulations to Calvert's B team on an undefeated season!!

A Play!

Sixth Age readers have done a wonderful job with our latest reading selection, a play, "Did You See Chip". Sixth Age friends especially enjoyed taking turns reading as different characters.

BRAVO!

Addition Using Dice

We had a great time rolling dice and finding the sum of our two numbers. I always tell the children to start with the largest number when adding. We also competed to see who could roll the highest number. Try this game out at home with your mathematician!

Break A Leg

Best wishes to the Seventh Age readers in today's performance!

Addition

Pilot mathematicians have been working hard on addition!

Vowel Pairs oa + ow (long "o" sound)

Seventh Age readers are hard at work with vowel pairs oa and ow. The oa vowel pair usually comes in the middle of a word (boat, toad, road, load, coal). The ow vowel pair usually comes at the end of a word (low, blow, tow, crow).

Bravo!

Teamwork

Seventh Age readers work together to find their new sight words within a crossword puzzle.

R-controlled vowels ar

Sixth Age students have done a wonderful job reading ar words and correctly using them in a sentence.

Bravo!
