Hard at Work

7th Age friends did a great job with their worksheet that had multiple steps. They had to draw a line under each word with the ar, or, ir, er, or ur. Then they had to circle the appropriate object below, and color it the desired color.

More Magic e

We even have our very own Magic e workbooks! We have been working really hard on them in class this week. They will be sent home after we complete them.

Magic e

We have been working hard at reading words with the magic e (also referred to as the silent e).
In these words the letter e comes at the end of the word and tells the vowel to say its name.
(pine, cube, globe, make)

We played a fun game game reading words where the magic e forces the vowel to make the long sound. Watch us in action below.

After the game was over we displayed great sportsmanship.

Click here to hear one of our favorite songs about the magic e.
In this song it is called the silent e.
Enjoy.

Illustrating the Life Cycle of a Butterfly

Great Work 6th Age Readers!

Fractions

We had fun exploring the concept of one whole and two halves using graham crackers. We were given one whole cracker and needed to divide it into two equal pieces. Once we created halves we ate one half. Then we ate the second half. In the end we ate one whole graham cracker.

Life Cycle of a Butterfly

We have learned so much about the life cycle of a Butterfly from our new story! Below we act out each stage.

First we are little Eggs laying on a leaf

Then we hatch and are Caterpillars

We eat and eat until we become very fat!

Next we build our Chrysalis

Finally we emerge as a beautiful Butterfly

Ask us about the life cycle of a Butterfly! We have so much information to share with you!
