Digraph: th

Th is a digraph. Digraphs are two letters put together to make a new single sound. Today we read "The Thing That Went Thump" by Maria Fleming. We listened for words that contained the th digraph. Sometimes the sound was found at the beginning of a word (thump, thirty,Thursday). Other times we heard the sound at the end of words (bath, teeth, with).

After reading the story the friends participated in a game. It was Ms. Clark versus the 6th Age readers. I read a series of words. Then I read 10 separate riddles and the friends needed to match each
th word with the correct riddle. In the end the readers beat Ms. Clark! The score was ten to zero!

Below you can see the game we played. Have your child play against you.
